INFORMATION OF VARIOUS SCHOLARSHIPS
AVAILABLE / FACILITATED @ GMU
Students are hereby informed to apply for various scholarships offered by Government of Karnataka
and Government of India (GOI) National Scholarship/AICTE and other funded scholarships based
on their eligibility criteria.
The information regarding various scholarships available and facilitated by GM University is
provided for the convenience of our students. Scholarships are managed by government authorities,
and it is the responsibility of students and their parents to stay informed about relevant websites,
schemes, changing policies, and deadlines. GM University’s role is solely to facilitate awareness
and guidance. We do not guarantee the processing or approval of any scholarship applications. Please
ensure you check official sources regularly for the latest updates and procedures.

1. Guidelines to apply for SSP scholarship (Sponsored by Karnataka state government)
- Students can apply by logging to ssp.postmatric.karnataka.gov.in.
- The data such as Name, date of birth and Parent’s name should be correct as per the Aadhar card.
- The students should have valid Income Certificate in the name of the student by mentioning the total family income.
- Student’s Bank Account must be seeded to Aadhar card (Through NPCI mapping)
- Minority students have to apply first in National scholarship and get NSP ID before applying in SSP.
- Students admitted directly and who is not having counselling number will be treated as management quota.
- The students who have applied last year they can renew the same by logging to SSP portal by furnishing the required data without fail in order to receive the scholarship this year.
Required documents/information to create account and submit application for postmatric scholarship:
- Student's Aadhar Number and Name as in Aadhar
- Student's Mobile Number
- Student's E-mail I.D
- Student's SSLC Registration No
- Caste and Income Certificate RD Number/s in the name of the student.
- UDID Identification Number if the student is disabled
- District, taluk, assembly constituency and address of the student residence.
- Students' University/College Registration Number
- E-Attestation number of related documents (if applicable)
- Hostel details (if applicable)
NOTE!
- Registration in KUTUMBA portal is mandatory for the students to apply for scholarship in State Scholarship Portal. To know your KUTUMBA ID click here
- If your KUTUMBA ID is not available, then click here to get registered in KUTUMBA portal
- For the student to complete the application submission process in SSP, it is mandatory that the student's academic information for the year 2023-24 is available in either the UUCMS portal or the concerned University/Board pushes the academic data of the student to the UNIDATA server.
- For a student to apply as a hosteller in SSP, it is mandatory that the hostel registration information of the student is available either in the State Hostel Portal (SHP) or in SSP - HMIS portal

2. Guidelines to apply for Karnataka Labour Welfare Board scholarship
Eligibility
- Parent's Occupation: Parent must be a registered worker with the Karnataka Labour Welfare Board.
- Academic Requirement: Minimum 50% marks in the last exam.
- Family Income: Must be within the specified limit.
- Study Level: For students from primary to postgraduate.
Documents Needed
- Application Form: Filled out.
- Employment Proof: Parent's registration certificate.
- Income Certificate: From a competent authority.
- Mark Sheets: Previous year's marks.
- Bank Details: Copy of the bank passbook.
- Aadhaar Card: Copies for both student and parent.
- Caste Certificate: If applicable.
- Fee Receipt: Proof of fees paid for the current year.
How to Apply
- Get the Form: Download from the website or get it from the Board's office.
- Fill the Form: Complete with accurate details.
- Attach Documents: Attach the required documents.
- Submit: Submit at the nearest Labour Welfare Board office or as specified.
3. Guidelines to apply for NSP scholarship (Sponsored by Government of India)
4. Guidelines to apply for PMSSS Scholarship for J&K students
- Government of India has Implemented Prime Ministers Special Scholarship Scheme to J&K Students to pursue undergraduate studies outside the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
- The students are informed to make use of this scheme for fresh and renewal this scholarship by logging to the portal aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in
5. KMDC Scholarship
- Minority students can apply to this Scholarship offered by department of minority welfare.
- Students belongs to minorities have to apply first in National scholarship portal scholarships.gov.in and obtain ‘NSP ID’ before applying in SSP portal.

- Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation (KMDC) have also implemented ‘ARIVU’ an educational loan scheme for the eligible students pertaining to religious minority community to pursue their higher education.
- Note: Only those students who have previously availed KMDC loan will be eligible for renewal, no fresh students will be able the loan until further Govt. orders.

6. Scholarship for students from Farmer Background (Chief Minister Raitha Vidyanidhi Programme)
- The students belong to the farmer’s fraternity and who are unable to get any scholarships from SC/ST/OBC/Minority cells are eligible to apply for this scheme through SSP portal.
- In order to apply to this scholarship ship students family must have agricultural land and must obtain ‘FRUITS ID’ by logging to fruits.karnataka.gov.in

7. Free ship card for SC/ST students
Eligibility criteria:
- The SC/ST student should be the permanent resident of Karnataka and who are studying in post matric are eligible to apply
- The student’s family annual income must below 2.5 lakhs.
Main objectives of Free ship card
- The main objective of the scheme is to overcome the delay in crediting the post-matric scholarship for the SC/ST students in the Karnataka State.
- This card acts as a government guarantee to educational institutions on payment of fees and has directed the educational institutions not to insist students on paying the fee.
- The Social Welfare Department will conduct a campaign to clear all pending applications about post-matric and pre-matric scholarships.
- The prize money for those who clear the courses in their first attempt in the first class.
The eligible students can apply for free ship card by logging to ssp.postmatric.karnataka.gov.in
NOTE: This is applicable only to Meritorious Students.
