Srishyla Educational Trust
Srishyla Education Trust is a charitable trust created with a sole aim of providing opportunities for higher education. Sri. G. Mallikarjunappa, a well-known philanthropist, social visionary, and statesman, the then member of parliament hailing from Chitradurga district of Karnataka state founded the Shrishyla Education Trust in 2000, to achieve his great desire to provide education to the students of middle-part of Karnataka. The Shrishyla Education Trust has established several Schools and Colleges under the aegis of this trust.

At Present, Srishyla Education is being run by his family members -Sri G.M. Prasanna Kumar is the chairman, Sri G.M. Lingaraju is the secretary and Mr. Anith Kumar is the Treasurer of the Trust.

The trust has established several education institutions, viz. G M Institute of Technology (GMIT) (2001), GMH-PU College (2003), GMS-Academy-First Grade College (2011), GMH-English Medium High School (2014), G M Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (GMIPSR) (2019). GM Polytechnic, and GM Management Studies, etc.
In the year 2023, the trust decided to bring all these institutions under one umbrella and extend the portfolio of programs offered to meet 21st educational needs-GM University was established.
