GMU - FAQ's

1. Where is GMU Located?
GMU is located in Davanagere, Karnataka State. It is around 262 km from Bangalore

2. How big is the Campus?
It’s a 54 acre green and serene campus

3. Who founded GMU?
Srishyla Education Trust. It is also known as GM Group and it is well known in this part of Karnataka. GMIT- a popular engineering college is established by Srishyla Education Trust.

4. How many faculties are there in GMU?
There are 6 faculties at present.

5. Whether GMU is a recognised University?
GMU is created by an act of state of Karnataka (Act No. 19 of 2023). It’s a private University and has the similar privileges of a public university.

6. Whether GMU is accredited?
GMU will seek 2f status next year and as per the provisions, GMU can apply for accreditation only after 6 years of its existence, however, the colleges that come under GMU are all accredited.

7. Whether GMU has NIRF Ranking?
GMU can participate in NIRF ranking only after completing 3 academic years.

8. Are there Hostel Facilities on Campus?
Yes, there are separate hostels for boys and girls

9. What type of food is served in Hostels?
Vegetarian Food is served in Hostels

10. Are there enough sports facilities on Campus?
We have excellent facilities for indoor and outdoor games. We encourage students participating in sports competitions.
