Aim & Summary

The aim of the course is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the foundational concepts of the Operating Systems, Linux and Source Code Management. It covers the underlying concepts and significance in Cloud and DevOps. The course aims to equip students with the knowledge of Operating System basics, Compute, Storage, Network at the operating system level. Linux operating system concepts and enterprise level computing requirements and environment. The course is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles and components of the Operating System, Linux and Source Code Management to manage the software code for collaboration with Hands-On practice sessions. It begins with an exploration of Operating system basics, including Storage types and networking, and practice. The second module focuses on Git, which is known as open source for source code management, covering their significance in application development in agile methodology, collaboration within the agile based application development practice in enterprise level. The practice lab and demo session are part of this learning which makes the entire learning as “Learning by Doing” which would be effective to adopt the skills and speak about it in any forum.

Week 2 Architecture of OS, Kernel, Shell and Applications, BIOS, POST, Etc
Week 3 Windows and Linux operating System installation and difference details
Week 4 User administration, Process management and Package Management Concepts and Hands-On Practice.
