Department Placement and Internship Coordinators
1. Placement Department Responsibilities
The Placement Department is responsible for:
a. Organizing placement training programs for students.
b. Developing and maintaining a database of recruiting organizations.
c. Reaching out to potential recruiters and establishing collaborations.
d. Coordinating and conducting placement interviews.
e. Publishing the list of selected candidates.
f. Facilitating the issuance of offer letters to selected candidates.
g. Gathering feedback from both industry and students to improve placement processes.
2. Industry Internship Division Responsibilities
The Industry Internship Division is responsible for:
a. Building a database of potential industries offering internships.
b. Communicating with industries and establishing partnerships for internships.
c. Announcing available internship opportunities to students.
d. Registering interested candidates for internships.
e. Linking students with appropriate industries based on requirements and interests.
f. Monitoring the progress and performance of students during internships
g. Collecting feedback from both industry partners and students to enhance the internship experience.
3. Department Coordinators Responsibilities
Department Coordinators are responsible for:
a. Creating and updating a database of industries relevant to their respective domains.
b. Maintaining a database of students within their department.
c. Contacting industries for internship opportunities through the Director – Internships.
d. Mapping student interests and skills with suitable industry opportunities.
e. Facilitating and monitoring student internships to ensure successful completion.
f. Supporting the Placement Department in organizing placement training sessions and interviews.
