DevOps has become a new standard in the industry. Without DevOps and Automation it has become very tough to get an opportunity in technology domain, be it a Developer, Tester, Project Management, Operations and Analytics. The aim of this course is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the foundational concepts of the Continuous Integration (CI) of DevOps Process – We would understand the conceptual level of what is Continuous Integration, why we need it, what is the significance of it in managing the infrastructure and application deployment and management. What are the different tools we have in Continuous Integration which are essential and understand how they are functioning. This course is designed to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental principles and components of the open-source CI tool Jenkins. How to deploy and manage the Jenkins on local system. We start with Setting up the Jenkins application, explore the tool in an out with plugins, configuration and other associate details. Then we will proceed to deploy the application using the code in GitHub and Bitbucket which are source code management tools. We will also see the different scenarios and troubleshooting methods in case of pipeline failure. Finally, we will perform multibranch pipeline deployment. We focus on “Learning by Doing” approach which helps each participants to effectively learn, adopt and speak about it in any forum for further consumption.
